During Dutch Media Week '22, I worked in the Pop-Up Image Lab organised by GA Hilversum and Beeld & Geluid Museum. During this week, I had digital access to the video and image library of the image and sound museum.Inspired by old TV shows and documentaries, I spent a week drawing and cutting a set of around 20 new lino blocks, which formed the building blocks for a larger combined print.
Each individual block is the ratio of a mobile phone screen. Together, they represent the bombardment of images most of us see on our phones each day. It can be inspiring and overwhelming.
Currently, the result consists of three prints, one of which has been added to the archive collection of the Beeld & Geluid Museum. Extra prints can be made to order, so please get in touch if you're interested.
